This collection of fourteen scrapbooks contain newspaper articles, game accounts, player stats and baseball cards of the St. Louis Browns. The scrapbooks each cover a year starting in 1940 and ending in 1953. Certain scrapbooks have autographs, military service, spring training news and box scores. Volume 8 has articles relating to the first Negro teammates in the majors, Willard Brown and Henry Thompson. Volume 12 has an article about Ralph Schwamp , former pitcher, in prison for murder; Bill Veeck buys the Browns. Volume 14 mentions the possible moving of the team to Milwaukee or Baltimore.
